Living with Intention.
Although my teaching deals specifically with the subject of learning to live with intention, before you and I can effectively live intentionally (as the Father has intended) we must be able to answer the following questions:
- Who am I?
- What is God’s purpose for creating me?
- You are a son of God – Identity.
- You have a very intentional role to play upon the earth – Purpose.
- You have an enemy, a master of subterfuge, whose goal is to stop you.
- You, the overcomer MUST live with intention!
But to do that you HAVE to understand the first 3 points!
As a Christian do you believe that you are a son of God?
As you look at our world, is there an unmistakable difference between the sons of God and the sons of men? Do you see a marked difference?
I mean, all over the world there are people existing, daily living their own little lives, accumulating knowledge, material possessions, experiences, grief, sorrow, despair…the same as the sons of God.
If there is no marked difference between the life of someone who believes in Jesus and the rest of the world than are we not those eagles who know that they are eagles but are still scratching in the dirt with everybody else, simply because we do not really KNOW what our capability or purpose is?
So I ask you once more – do you believe that you are a son of God?
If you do then it is time to understand what that means…
Sons of God
Identity
John 1:11-13 – He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name; who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Did you believe in His name, have you received Him as your Lord? Then you are a child of God, born of God.
Gal. 4:4-7 – But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law to redeem those who were under the law, (why?) that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son. And if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
The question, “who are you?’” is firmly established in this portion of scripture. If you have believed in Jesus then you are “born of God” and you are a son. That is your identity… but knowing your identity does not mean that you are walking in your identity.
The second question still remains… What is God’s purpose for creating you?
Understanding purpose
Gen. 1:26 – Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion…
And then we fell…the man created to be like God…died.
The fall of mankind was a great tragedy! This spirit being…Created to be like God DIED! All that remained was the shell…the carnal man…struggling to eke out a living, subject to the devil, with no authority over the fauna and flora… what we became was so inferior to what God had created…
To resurrect and restore this fallen creature to its original purpose and glory would cost God everything…
And He did it!!!
And the gospel is the loud clarion call that shouts aloud into our spirit…”You have been redeemed!”
Jesus Christ is the Last Adam (1 Cor. 15:45).
He defeated the enemy and made a public spectacle of them (Col. 2:15). He destroyed the works of the devil (1 John 3:8) and ALL AUTHORITY (Matt. 28:18) has been given to Him, Jesus Christ!
All the authority that the first Adam lost was restored to Jesus, the Son of man – the Son of God!!!
Therefore because of Jesus, the Son of Man, mankind has dominion on the earth once more!!!
But doesn’t that just apply to Jesus…??? What does that mean to me? Who am I?
Rom. 6:10-11 – For the death that He died, He died to sin – once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise, you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God (where are you found alive?) in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Therefore you and I are IN Christ, the One who has all authority and all power.
Rom. 8:28-30 – And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn of many brethren.
Christ in me, the hope of glory.
That’s us in Christ, Christ in us, the body of the head…that’s every born again person…
1 Cor. 12:27 – Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
He has dominion, and because you and I are in Him…we have dominion.
Having said all of this…with so many people getting Born Again, why does Paul say that all creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God?
If it was simply a matter of just being Born Again then why didn’t creation breathe a sigh of relief 2000 years ago? Let’s read what Paul said…
Rom. 8:19 – “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.”
Rom. 8:20 – For the creation was subjected to FUTILITY, NOT WILLINGLY…but because of Him who subjected it in hope…
Rom. 8:22 – For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together UNTIL NOW!!!
WHY?
We must understand that the revealing… the arising of the sons of God amounts to much more than a people who have been born again, who are spiritually alive and restored in their relationship with their Father!!!
Yes! We have been restored but for what?
It is the very essence of who they were created to be and what they do with it that makes the difference to all of creation!
What then is different about these sons of God?
Rom. 8:14 – “For as many as are LED by the Spirit of God, THESE are the sons of God.”
What is the difference? If we’re all children of God then why is all of creation still eagerly awaiting this phenomenon… the Spirit led sons of God?
I may be Spirit filled, talking in tongues, going to church, doing bible college and I may have the capacity to be Spirit led and not be led by the Spirit.
Jesus was Spirit led, Paul, Peter and the disciples were Spirit led. Stephen, Philip and others like them were Spirit led…
One thing they had in common, as Spirit led sons of God, they all revealed the power and authority of God as they lived to preach the gospel of the Kingdom! Their lives were a demonstration of God.
It’s time church! It’s time to take your place!
The army of the dawn...
Isaiah 60:1-3 – Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; But the Lord WILL ARISE over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles (unbelievers) shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
The following is a combination of what the Holy Spirit has revealed to me and what He has shown me from a book by Lou Engle and Dean Briggs called The Jesus Fast (A call to awaken the nations).
You are alive because God sovereignly injected you into the plot of a timeless epic story. War surrounds you!
How will you fulfil the purpose for which you were born? How will you fight? Do you even know that you should fight?
Will God’s people merely endure history or will they shape it?
It does not take a prophet to recognize the darkness of our days just as Isaiah prophesied in chapter 60 V2.
Though we may be afraid, God most assuredly is not. Like an ace up His sleeve, the divine solution to the gross malady of darkness is an army of brilliant light!
The Lord is raising up an army that will force back the darkness!
Psalm 144:1 – Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.
Joel 3:9-11, 13-14 – Proclaim this among the nations; Prepare for war!
Wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near, Let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, “I am strong.” Assemble and come all you nations, and gather together all around. Cause Your mighty ones to go down there, O Lord.
V13-14 – Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, go down; For the winepress is full, the vats overflow – for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.
As this army of light, our purpose is clear…as the Spirit led sons of God, we are to be obedient to His original command given at our very inception…
By obeying the leading of the Holy Spirit, we are to be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth with the glory of God, subdue all things in the name of Jesus Christ and bring them under the dominion of the King of kings, the Lord Jesus Christ, who has all authority and all power.
As His body, and ministers of reconciliation, we are His representatives and ambassadors authorized by Him to do His bidding. What we do in His name carries all the authority and power of heaven! The Head, the Lord Jesus Christ, and His body are one!!!
In His name and at the mention of His name every name that is named and every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
It is Christ (who is the light) in us, the hope of glory! It is Christ in us! Christ in us!
Yes, it is His nature and character being formed in each one us as an individual BUT it is the Christ, the One who has all authority and all power who confirms the preaching of the Word. It is He who wants to heal the sick, raise the dead and bring glory to His Father! And He wants to do it through you and I!
An army of light, led by the Spirit of God, we come in His name – with all authority!
Living Intentionally!
At this point let me speak to you further about living intentionally…
I asked God to help me live a disciplined life and so in answer to my prayer the Holy Spirit has been training me and helping me to live my life intentionally…every day. As the days go by I am achieving something every single day. I am learning to understand who I am, who I really am… and I am learning, really learning, who lives in me.
Intentionally means deliberately and on purpose
As the Spirit led sons of God and representatives of the Lord Jesus Christ, we must be intentional about taking authority on this earth as commanded by God and by Jesus. No athlete or graduate or successful business man, mother, father or teacher became successful because they hoped they would or because they knew that they had the potential to be successful.
IT ALWAYS REQUIRES HARD WORK and it is only achieved BY BEING INTENTIONAL and determined.
You have to be relentless and courageous and your mind has to be set firmly on your goal. Here, you might be tempted to say “but that is just not who I am”, but let me remind you that you carry the DNA of God Almighty and He ALWAYS does everything INTENTIONALLY!
Why is this important?
The child of God who does not apply themselves will never walk in victory but will live a manipulated life and remain under the control of A DEFEATED FOE!
You MUST renew your mind set and you MUST ARISE and walk and live in the authority of God! On purpose!
In every aspect of your life, YOU have to take authority! Spiritual warfare is a must for your family, your work, your education, your finances, your health, etc. You cannot allow sickness, weakness, infirmity and disease to have control over you.
That is why it is essential to know who you are, what your authority is and that the enemy is defeated and that his works are destroyed! If you don’t, he will deceive and manipulate you to live the script that he has written for your life, scratching in the dirt with the rest of creation! You have to arise!!! I am calling YOU to arms this morning!!!
This war is for your faith…if he can steal your faith, he can destroy the rest. You must be strategic!
It is a daily attack so we must build up our faith daily!
The reason many of us have stopped praying for healings and I mean fervently and with determination is because when it didn’t happen immediately we became unsure, self-doubt crept in…’maybe we are not spiritually mature enough’…
But let us listen carefully to what Jesus had to say about it…
In Matt 17:14-20 – When the disciples asked Jesus why they couldn’t cast out the epileptic spirt, His answer was clear, “Because of your unbelief…” NOT ‘you’re not spiritually mature enough’, OR ‘you’re not holy enough’…just one thing…because of your unbelief.
Fight to build up your faith DAILY!!!
And ALWAYS be aware of this truth when dealing with the enemy…
“It is Christ in me, doing the works. You spirit of infirmity (or whatever) you are not coming against me but against HIM!!! You are powerless against HIM!!!
So let’s recap…
- You believe in Jesus…therefore you are born of God and a son of God.
- Jesus the Son of Man has taken back authority from the devil and has dominion over
all the earth. - You are in Christ and He is in you.
- As His Spirit led representative, His dominion is now to be enforced by you.
- Everything you do in obedience to the Spirit and in His name, He will do.
God is the Master planner and has strategically placed people in your circle of influence…for a reason. Whether they are family, friends, work colleagues…you have been given the opportunity to be an epistle of Christ for them to read. Secondly, He has made you a steward over His property…everything you have belongs to Him!
As His representative He needs you to tend and care for the part of “the Garden” that has been placed under you.
God planned for you to walk in heaven’s atmosphere right here on earth and to produce “the Garden of Eden” everywhere you go. – Bill Winston
In the natural, when you tend and care for your garden, you feed and water the plants that you have so that you can maximise their potential. You make sure that no pests creep in to destroy your plant.
In the same way in order to tend and keep what God has planted in your spiritual garden…you must feed and water the Word sown in you (by meditating on it and praying and declaring it over your life) and you must keep that Word “pest free”. Don’t allow the enemy to sow anything in your mind or body that is contradictory to what the Word says.
Whatever He has given you responsibility over, He has also given you the grace (His ability through the Holy Spirit) to be able to do it.
Ephesians 3:6-12 – The Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me (how was it given to him?) by the effective working of His power.
To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, (what grace?) that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ (that through Christ we have all been made one, in Him) and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Christ Jesus; (for what reason?) to the intent… that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known…(by whom?) by the church… to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose (creating man in His image to have dominion) which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.
Strategies of a Kingdom of God warrior!
The weapons of our warfare.
Naturally, you and I are not going to physically run about with a mighty sword slashing through the air at an enemy that is unseen in the natural world…No!!!
History may be shaped in the halls of academia and power by fools, financiers and politicians…but in the halls of heaven, history is shaped by Intercessors. (The Jesus Fast)
There are two things that we are going to do…pray and intercede and secondly, take authority by declaring the Word and binding the enemy!
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 – For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds, (and how do we pull down the strongholds?) casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
What was Jesus response to the devil when he tried to tempt Jesus? “It is written!” Jesus quoted the Word of Truth.
Eph. 6:10 – 18 – In this portion of scripture we are commanded to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might and to put on the whole armor of God. Once we have the armor of God on, what are we to do with it…?
We are to pray always with all supplication and prayer in the Spirit.
The successful prayer warrior has to have strategies in place to achieve and overcome the enemy.
I have put down the following strategies that the Holy Spirit has given me.
Due to the fact that there is so much to pray for I have split it up as follows:
In the morning
I spend time with God in the secret place, worshipping, thanking Him, talking and listening.
I take authority and declare the Word over everything that God has placed under my care.
Prayer strategies for taking authority:
- Your family.
- Your home and everything on it
- Your possessions.
- Your job, your business.
- Your ministry.
In the evening... before bed
I do my praying and interceding at night in preparation for the next day. There are some things that I pray for daily like my family and myself. The rest of my prayer topics I have spread over the nights of the week.
Monday – Pray for family, for the worship team and everyone visited by Fishers of Men.
Tuesday – Pray for family and the leaders of the church (everywhere).
Wednesday – Pray for family and South Africa.
Thursday – Pray for family and for the Body of Christ to arise for the Cause of Christ.
Friday – Pray for family and my consecration to God and His Will for my life.
Saturday – Pray for family
Sunday – Pray for family and everything to do with the Emmanuel Project.
These are just guidelines…you can adapt them to suit your life. Be intentional and plan your strategy!
Taking your authority
Every morning it is essential to declare the Word over everything God has placed under your care. I have included some of the blessings and prayers that I use in my warfare for my family (some of it gleaned from these beautiful woman of God):

Dr. Mary Ruth Swope – Bless your children every day.
The rest of it was inspired by the Holy Spirit as I spent time praying. They are merely added as a guideline if you need some inspiration!
NB. I pray these out aloud and it causes my faith level to arise as I hear them.
Rom. 10:17 – “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”.
Secondly Job 22:28 says,“You will also declare a thing and it will be established for you”.
Also, the enemy cannot read your mind. You need to take authority as a son of God in such a way that he can hear you!
It’s the way God the Father and God the Son do it and that makes it good enough for me!
May you continue to flourish in God’s presence, experiencing the freedom that comes with the one true great romance! Your own unique, love walk with your Holy Bridegroom!
Warfare
I don’t know what you were told when you got saved, but when you get born again you are born into a war.
There is no way to escape.
If you claim the name of Jesus you will be a soldier for the rest of your life.

Do not fear
Yep, that’s you and I…it’s true we ARE soldiers… We are at war!
The minute we got born again, everything changed!
We went from being captives and from being slaves to the whims of the devil – to being sons of the Most High God!
We are the blood bought, blood washed sons of the Most High God!
As sons, we MUST KNOW and understand who we are, our position, our authority and our rights!
Sons (Who we are)
John 1:12 – But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name!
Galatians 4:4-5 – But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
V7 – Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Our position
God has raised us up, in Christ and we are seated with Him in heavenly places, FAR ABOVE every principality and power, every ruler of the darkness and every spiritual host of wickedness in the heavenly places!
Ephesians 2:4-6 – But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:17 – And if children, then heirs; heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.
He has raised us up, we are seated in heavenly places far above all the power of the enemy and everything God the Father bestowed upon Jesus, He has likewise bestowed upon us!
Our Authority and our rights
Sending the seventy in His name...
Luke 10:17 – then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us IN YOUR NAME.”
V19 – “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY and nothing shall by any means hurt you
V20 – Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that THE SPIRITS ARE SUBJECT TO YOU, rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.
Isaiah 54:17 – No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and THEIR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS OF ME”, says the Lord.
In other words, when the Accuser of the brethren (satan) comes before the Father to accuse us, we will condemn the accusation (why?) because we are not His sons and in His presence because of our own righteousness but we are His sons and in His presence because of His righteousness which Christ bought for us and which God in return for that payment has bestowed on us.
Sending us in His name...
Matthew 28:18-19 – And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given unto Me, in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Mark 16:15-20 – And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe; In My name they will CAST OUT DEMONS; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
V20 – And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the Word through the accompanying signs. Amen.
So, in that light, we pray…
Father, fill us with a Spirit of boldness and give us true perspective of everything that we face.
Help us to clearly see the real enemy and please place a guard on the door of our mind, our eyes, our ears, our mouth and our heart in Jesus name we pray.
Why? Because we do not want to get side tracked into issues that will distract us from the real war that is going on.
We disown the right to be offended and to seek revenge! We desire instead to destroy the real threat and to enforce the victory of Christ on the real enemy in Jesus mighty name!
Every Knee Must BOW!!!
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name…
You are the Great “I AM”, Indescribable, All Mighty, All Powerful, Immeasurable, All Sovereign and nothing can stand in Your presence.
You are the Jehovah Elohim – the Eternal Creator, Jehovah Elyon – the Lord Most High.
You are unequalled and unrivalled! There is none like You!
You are the source of ALL life. Nothing can exist without Your breath of life. You are the Creator and we are the created. Every angel is a created being. The devil and every demon were created as angels by You first. Their evil hearts corrupted the beauty that You created but still they are simply created beings. Only You alone have no beginning and no end.
You alone have ALL power and ALL authority!
Nothing, absolutely nothing can stand in Your presence!
You created the galaxies, the universe and every star was named by You. The heavens declare the glory of our God and I stand in absolute awe of You.
Thank You for wanting to create us. Thank You for dreaming of us and writing our story into Your book. Thank You for the plan of salvation!
Today I stand here because You determined it to be so. Hallelujah!
Father, You raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in heavenly places FAR ABOVE every principality and power, every ruler of the darkness of this age and every spiritual host of wickedness in the heavenlies.
Father, I will look to You and be saved, for You are God and there is no other. You have sworn by Yourself, the Word has gone out of Your mouth in righteousness and shall not return to You void, but it shall accomplish everything You sent it forth to do. Isaiah 45: 22 – 23.
At His name, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, every knee must bow, of those in heaven, and of those on the earth, and of those under the earth, and that at the name of Jesus every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
I pledge my allegiance to You Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, body soul and spirit. I thank You for sending God the Holy Spirit to guide me into all truth, to teach me Your ways and to empower me with Your grace – the ability to be transformed from glory to glory in Jesus name.
Here I am Lord, use me for Your glory!
Warfare
- Father please forgive my family and I for any sin that is in our lives.
I thank You Father for the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ that is in evidence on the Mercy seat in heaven and ever declares that the full price of judgement has been paid by the Lord Jesus Christ. It is for that reason that the enemy has no legal right to come against our lives in Jesus name! - Father, I thank You for this family that You have given me/us, this home that You have given me/us, the car/s that You have given me/us, the job/s that You have given me/us, the skills that You have given me/us. I plead the Blood of Jesus Christ over all of it. You are the head of this home and its inhabitants and I surrender it all into Your care. You are the owner of all of it and it is therefore under Your direction, Your protection and Your provision. From the road to every boundary – this home and everything on it is Kingdom of God property! The Kingdom warriors, the angels of God are watching over Your Kingdom property always, keeping it safe and sound in every way in Jesus name!
- I will not stand by and allow myself or my family to be wearied, beaten down or destroyed. Therefore by the power and the authority of the King of Kings, the Lord Jesus Christ, I address the spirits that march under the following banners – confusion and doubt, division and strife, rejection, anger and wrath, un-forgiveness, fear, impatience, lust, rebellion and pride, spirits of infirmity, weakness, sickness and disease and every other binding and blinding spirit, I command you to cease in your activities against my family and I, in Jesus mighty name.
NB. (I know that each one of these spirits has to obey because Jesus Christ has already defeated them and He has made a spectacle of them openly. Col.2:15. They have to bow their knee!) - Father, I pray that You will deliver us from the effects of the corruptible seeds sown by these abovementioned spirits in our lives, in Jesus mighty name. I ask You to forgive us for having stood in agreement with any deception that these spirits have sown into our lives, in Jesus name.
- I thank You, Father that the incorruptible seed of The Word of God, which has been sown into our hearts by the Holy Spirit is arising to fullness in us and it will not return to You void.
- I thank You Father, that Jesus is the author and the finisher of my faith and my family’s faith. You are currently writing the next chapter of each one of our lives and therefore each one of us can expect the victory that You have purchased for us!
- I thank You Father, that You are always ultimately in control and that You are leading us from Glory to glory. That means that we are manifesting more of the Son of God today than we were yesterday and we will be manifesting more of the Son of God tomorrow than we are today. Hallelujah! This is a continual upward journey and there is no going back!
- I thank You Father that we have a passion and a hunger for the things of God, like never before.
- I thank You that the gifts and talents that You have deposited in us, are irreversible and You are stirring up a passion in our hearts that will drive us to seek for these gifts to be fulfilled in our lives.
- I thank You Father that the gifts and talents that accompany the role of the head of the home, are arising to fullness in all the men in our family. I thank You for men of integrity and honour, men of courage, for men who recognize and respect the role You have created them for. Men who respect the members of their family, for the love, the protection and the care that their families receive, in Jesus name. I thank You for the anointing that rests upon them to do all You have created them for.
- I thank You Father that the gifts and the talents that accompany the role of the helpmeet are arising to fullness in all the women in our family. I thank You that You strengthen them with Your grace for all that You require them to do as they spend time with You early in the morning. I thank You for the beauty of their tender hearts, their wisdom, their kindness and that they will be able to attend to their family’s needs with love and strength, in Jesus name. I pray that You would grace us to be the helpmeet that our husbands need, in Jesus name.
- I thank You, Father for a spirit of discernment to operate in each member of my family’s lives. I believe that we are able to accurately discern every situation we come across, everything we hear, everything we see and everything we say because we are Spirit led, Spirit filled and Spirit guided. Strengthen us with a spirit of boldness that we may deal with it according to Your will and purpose, in Jesus name.
- I thank You Father that my child fears the Lord and serves Him all the days of his/her life. I do not believe for a minute, the lie that the enemy has preached. All children do not have to go through a stage of rebellion. Rebellion is of the devil and he has been bound from interfering with my child’s life. Instead my child will grow in wisdom as they grow in stature, just as Jesus did. The gifts and talents that You have put in their life will arise to be used even whilst they are children. Thank You for placing all the right people around my child to assist them in getting to that goal, in Jesus name. Deut.6:13 – “You shall fear the Lord your God, and you shall worship Him, and swear by His name.”
- I thank You Father that my child knows Christ as Saviour early in life, in Jesus name.
Psalm 63:1 – “O God, You are my God, I shall seek You earnestly. My soul thirsts for You.” - I thank You Father that my child hates sin and is caught when she/he is guilty, in Jesus name.
Psalm 97:10 – “Hate evil, you who love the Lord, who preserves the souls of His godly ones.”
Psalm 119:71 – “It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I may learn Thy statutes.” - I thank You Father that my child respects those in authority over her/him, in Jesus name. Rom. 13:1
- I thank You Father that my family and I always desire the right kind of friends and that we are protected from the wrong kind. Thank You that the blood of the Lamb is applied to the lintels of our lives, body, soul and spirit and we are hedged in by the blood of the Covenant and therefore we are protected. We will not find our way to the wrong people or wrong places and the wrong people cannot find their way to us, in Jesus name – Prov.1:10 & 15, Hosea 2:6-7.
- I thank You Father that we are not affected by a spirit of fear (of needing to fit in or being socially acceptable) nor are we affected by the spirit of rebellion. Instead we have a spirit of boldness and confidently stand up for that which we believe in, in Jesus name!
- I thank You Father that we are kept from the wrong mate and saved for the right one, in Jesus name. I thank You that the devil’s counterfeit never even makes an impression because we are able to accurately discern the devil’s trap, in Jesus name – 2 Cor. 6:14.
- I thank You Father that we have a quick, repentant heart, that we are teachable and able to take correction – Psalm 51:1-3 and Prov. 13:1.
- I thank You Father that we are single hearted, willing to be sold out to Jesus – Rom. 12:1-2. That we learn to submit totally to God and actively resist satan in all circumstance – James 4:7. I thank You that You have surrounded us with the right people to teach us how to do that, in Jesus name.
- I thank You Father that my whole family lives by the leading of the Spirit, that our lives bear the fruit of the spirit and we are not affected by the things of the flesh.
- I thank You Father that You equip us to be able to do all of these things by Your Holy Spirit, in Jesus name. Amen.
- I thank You Father that You are constantly at work in my family’s lives and that the responsibility of getting them to grow from glory to glory is not mine. I rest in You, You are well able! Forgive me for ever operating from the seeds sown by the spirit of fear.
- I thank You Father that no man or woman has any power to define who we are or who we are destined to be. Only God has – AND He is leading us from glory to glory!!!
- Father, I thank You that no weapon formed against us shall prosper and we condemn every evil word spoken against us in judgement and declare that it has no power over us in Jesus name – Is. 54:17.
- I thank You Father that we are children of the Most High God and that we have been created to be the Bride of Christ. We have been predestined to bear forth into this life, the incorruptible seed of the King of Kings.
- Our lives are to produce the glory of the Son, that He may glorify the Father. That is our purpose and destiny!!! Hallelujah!
- We are connected to the Vine, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Light that is in Him is flowing through us and our lives and we are producing His fruit that is extending the kingdom of God.
- The Holy Spirit is giving life to our mortal bodies and now the love of God, His joy, His peace, His long suffering, His goodness, His kindness, His faithfulness, His gentleness and His self-control are being produced in us in Jesus name.
- The Holy Spirit has come upon us and we are an empowered (by grace) revealed express image of the Lord Jesus Christ upon the earth today.
Our lives bear witness that He lives and reigns in Jesus name! - Everywhere we go, every step that we take, Jehovah Nissi goes with us. Therefore the gates of Hades keep retreating before Him who is our head and because we are the body of the Head, everything is bowed down in our presence because the Head and the body are One. We constantly acquire the victory through the Lord Jesus Christ who is our head.
- Every moment of every day, every step that we take we are taking ground for the Kingdom of God. The gates of Hades in every person’s life and every situation keep falling to Him who is our Head and nothing, absolutely nothing can stand in His presence. Therefore we have access to every heart because the gates have fallen and we speak Your Word which invades their hearts virally in Jesus mighty name.
- Our feet may be on this earth but we live in another Kingdom – the Kingdom of God! We are governed by, protected by and provided for by the King of kings – the Lord Jesus Christ and by our Father – the great I AM. The rules and regulations, the parameters of the Kingdom of God are our only truth. This world has nothing in us or our lives – only God has – in Jesus name!
- We are under the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, hidden in Christ and under the shadow of the Almighty and therefore everything that pertains to death, stealing, killing and destruction has to ”Passover” us.
- Father, I thank You for all of these blessings that You have bestowed upon us in Jesus name!
Finances
- You are Jehovah Jireh – the Lord our provider. You are the God that supplies all of our needs according to Your riches in glory – Phil 4:19.
- I thank You that because I have tithed, You have opened the windows of heaven for me and You have poured out such a blessing that I do not have room enough to contain it. You have rebuked the devourer for my sake and he cannot destroy the fruit of my ground nor shall my vine fail to bear fruit for me in the field. Thank You Father Hallelujah! – Malachi 3:10-12.
- I thank You Father, in the name of Jesus, that I am an heir of salvation according to the promise that You made to the seed of Abraham. Therefore, You have instructed the angels to minister to me according to Your good pleasure, which is the prosperity of Your servants. I thank You therefore that I continually prosper in ALL areas of my life according to Your Word and my prosperity glorifies You!!!
- I thank You Father that the angels of God are continually bringing in my harvest, wave upon wave and I always have enough for every good work, in Jesus name.
Healing and protection
- You are Jehovah Rapha – the Lord our healer. By the stripes of Jesus Christ, we were healed. Every disease or sickness that has ever been named MUST bow to the name that is above all names and is unable to assume residence in our bodies because Jehovah Rapha, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Name that is above all names, rules and reigns in our bodies! – 1 Pet 2:24.
- Our absolutely healed bodies are daily declaring Your victory. “By His stripes we were healed.” We are a living, walking, revealed expression of Your victory upon the earth today as well as in the age to come. We are carriers of the victory of Christ. The victory of Christ lives in us! We live extraordinary lives because every part of our bodies are upheld by Your Word! Our bodies do not live because of our bodies…our bodies live because of Your breath of life in them in Jesus mighty name!
- Father, in the name of Jesus, I declare that from the road to every boundary of this property, it is all Kingdom of God property. It belongs to You. Your Kingdom warriors, Your angels are watching over the buildings, all things electrical, the plumbing, every appliance, all technology, all fauna and flora, the cars, the people…everything…it is all Kingdom of God property!

Abilities
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that we are blessed with the power to see with accuracy our God given special abilities. We are becoming competent workers in the field of endeavour for which God has ordained us. We see ourselves as persons with many latent talents. The Holy Spirit stands ready to help us understand and develop our gifts, so we are bold in asking for His help. I declare that the gifts and the fruits of the Holy Spirit are evident in our lives to help others. I declare that we are blessed with the anointing of God to fulfil His special purposes for our lives.
Direction
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that we are blessed going out and coming in, today and every day. We have clear direction of the road we are to walk today because we hear the voice of the Good Shepherd and the voice of the stranger we never follow. We are Spirit filled, Spirit led and Spirit guided. We ponder the way of our feet and never turn to the right or to the left from the path that God has planned for us. As we allow the Lord to direct our steps, He takes delight in each move we make.
We understand the lessons He is trying to teach us from what He permits to happen in our lives. If we stay on God’s pathway, our lives will be filled with joy and gladness.
Favour
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that we abound with the favour of the Lord and our lives are full of blessing. We keep God’s commands and therefore we find favour not only with God but also with man. They respect us for our good judgment and common sense, and our reputation is one of honour.
Our actions are pleasing to the Lord, and therefore He makes even our enemies to be at peace with us. As we grow in stature, our hearts grow in godly wisdom, thus, we find favour, as Jesus did, with God and man.
Holiness
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that we are blessed with the will to turn our eyes from looking at worthless things and following foolish people. Instead, we permit God to open our eyes and let us see the wonderful things we can expect from respecting and obeying His laws. Then we will learn that His ways are perfect, and that true holiness comes only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ as we spend time with Him.
We keep our hands clean and our hearts pure, therefore we receive the blessings that come from living a life pleasing to Him.
Praise
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that we are blessed with the desire to thank and praise God for everything that He has done, is doing and will do for us in our lives.
I declare that we are blessed with the ability to praise God with our voices in song, with our mouth in words, with our hands and feet in good deeds – and always in our hearts. Both riches and honour will be our reward for God is merciful, gracious, longsuffering and abounding in goodness to those whose hearts are full of praise.
